Drought causes problems for many grass species. With a seed mixture unsuited to dry locations, the lush green quickly degenerates into a pale yellow that sooner or later develops bare patches. In dry regions, it is therefore advisable to choose a lawn mixture straight away that is distinguished by drought-tolerant grasses with strong powers of regeneration. Mediterrano impresses here with a dense (50,000 shoots / m²), medium green lawn that is very hard-wearing. The selected grass varieties are distinguished by their deep roots, which survive even longer dry periods unharmed.
